What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage in a browser or identifiers saved by an app, work in a similar way. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) say we can only use them with your consent, unless they are strictly necessary to provide something you've asked for.
We don't use advertising or social media cookies, and we don't let other companies track you on our website or portal.
Your choices
The first time you visit fettld.com or the Fettld for Business portal, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. You can accept, reject or choose in more detail. Analytics only start if you accept. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and the website and portal work the same either way.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the website, on the portal's sign-in pages and in the portal's sidebar. If you withdraw consent, we stop analytics and delete the analytics cookies and storage from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although you may then need to sign in again and we'll ask for your choice again.
fettld.com

Fettld for Business portal
The portal at business.fettld.com is for tradespeople and companies.
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|

fettld_consent | Strictly necessary cookie | Remembers your analytics choice, as on fettld.com. | 180 days |
ph_…_posthog and other names starting ph_ or __ph | Analytics cookie and local storage, only with consent | PostHog analytics, hosted in the EU. Counts page views and button clicks. Text you type is never recorded and session recording is turned off. | Up to 1 year, or until you withdraw consent |
The portal also sends error reports to Sentry so we can fix faults. Sentry doesn't set cookies, and we remove personal details such as email addresses and IP addresses from reports.
When you set up payouts or complete an identity check, the portal sends you to pages run by Stripe or Didit. Those pages may set their own strictly necessary cookies, under Stripe's and Didit's own cookie policies.
The Fettld and Fettld Pro apps
The apps don't use cookies, but they save some information on your device:
- Sign-in: your sign-in tokens are stored securely on your device so you stay signed in. This is strictly necessary.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, Apple or Google gives the app a push token, which we store so we can send you notifications. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
- Analytics: with your consent, the apps use PostHog to measure how features are used. Events are linked to your account ID, never your name or email. Session recording is off.
- Crash reports: the apps send crash and error reports to Sentry, linked to your account ID only, so we can fix faults.
- On-device suggestions: on iPhone, suggestions made with Apple's on-device models stay on your device.
